Frequently Asked Questions

Click "Login" and enter your Second Life avatar name (First Last format) or email. You'll receive a one-time code either via email or in-world instant message from our bot. Enter the code to verify your identity and create your account.

Each Second Life avatar can have one AvatarShot account. If you have multiple avatars (alts), each can have its own separate account.

Go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone and click "Delete My Account". This action is permanent and will remove all your data, posts, and images within 30 days.

If using in-world delivery, make sure you're online in Second Life and not blocking IMs from unknown residents. The code is sent by "AvatarShot Resident". If using email, check your spam folder. Codes expire after 10 minutes — request a new one if needed.

You can post photos and videos from Second Life — fashion shots, landscapes, portraits, event photos, product showcases, and more. Content should be directly or indirectly related to Second Life. Make sure to set the correct maturity rating.

Photos: up to 10 images per post, max 10MB each (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF). Videos: 1 video per post, max 60 seconds, max 50MB (MP4, WebM, MOV).

G (General) — Suitable for all. M (Moderate) — Mild adult themes, no explicit content. A (Adult) — Nudity, sexual themes. A+ (Explicit) — Pornographic content. See our Maturity Rating guide for full details.

External software edits (Photoshop, Lightroom) are allowed. AI-generated or heavily AI-altered content must be tagged as "AI". 3D renders made outside of Second Life must be tagged as "Render". The main subject should still be recognizably Second Life content.

Posts may be removed if they violate our Community Standards, have an incorrect maturity rating, contain prohibited content, or are not related to Second Life. You'll receive a notification explaining the reason. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

Go to "My Store" from your dashboard, create your store, and start adding products. You can manually add products or import them from the SL Marketplace. Set up a vendor script in-world for automatic delivery. See our Seller Guide.

Free: 8% commission, up to 10 products. Pro (L$500/mo): 3% commission, unlimited products. Business (L$1,500/mo): 0% commission, unlimited products, priority support.

When a customer purchases your product, a delivery request is queued. Your in-world vendor script (placed on your land) polls our API and delivers the item automatically via llGiveInventory. See the Vendor Script Setup guide.

Yes! Go to My Store → Import and paste your SL Marketplace product URL(s). We'll automatically import the product name, description, images, permissions, and price. You can import up to 20 products at once.

Fill out the Featured Content Request Form. Your request will be reviewed by our team. If approved, pay the fee in-world and your content goes live on the scheduled date. See Featured Content docs for pricing and guidelines.

Prices range from L$1,100 for 1 day to L$15,000 for 30 days. Longer durations offer better value per day. All payments are in Linden Dollars.

Visit their profile and click the block button. Blocked users cannot see your content, comment on your posts, or interact with you. You can manage your blocked list in Settings → Content.

Use the report button on any post, comment, or profile. Alternatively, open a support ticket. All reports are reviewed within 72 hours and reporter identity is kept confidential.

We collect minimal data: your avatar name, optional email, content you upload, and basic usage analytics. We don't use third-party trackers or sell your data. See our full Privacy Policy.

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy and enable "Private Profile". Only your followers will be able to see your content. New follow requests will need your approval.

No. AvatarShot is an independent platform created by and for Second Life residents. We are not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Linden Research, Inc.

Yes! The core platform (feed, profile, portfolios, blog, contests) is completely free. Premium features like marketplace seller plans, featured content, and advertising have optional paid tiers.
